And, she lied around on the ground. Or did she 'lay" around? Hath she lain? I have no idea.

Grammatically, the proper past-tense of "lie" is, indeed, "lay" for that first sentence.  "Lain" works if preceded by "have," "has," or "had."  (E.g. "She has lain upon her bed.") "Laid" would be proper if one is putting something down.  "Lied" would be proper if one were talking about a lie that she had told.

(Kind of reminds me of the old TV commercials (and radio commercials, too, I think) for Winston cigarettes back in the 1960s.  A number of English teachers and grammarians complained publicly because the slogan/jingle for the commercials proclaimed, "Winston tastes good like a cigarette should!" - the point being that "as" was the grammatically correct word rather than "like."  Well, rather than Winston getting its nose out of joint, the company's next set of ads used as their tack, "Which do you prefer - good grammar or good taste?"  Clever and funny - and I guess that it helped to sell more cancer sticks for the company.)

Great picture, from a great series of pictures, by the way!  Very well-posed and very well-shot.  You and Nicole both did a great job on this set a couple of years ago - and that patch of sidewalk/street/road couldn't have been very comfortable for her to recline on while posing, but she still manages a nice facial expression while posing.  Keep up the great work!
